The senior picnic took place at the marina grounds on a perfect sunny Wednesday, Aug. 26 drawing more than 100 to a large tent, a bit of protection from the almost cloudless sunny skies.  Food was available  from early bagels to lunch of hamburgers and hot dogs (thanks to Eddie Young at the Outback) baked beans and a variety of potato salads, which were entries in a contest. as well as cookies soda and a little wine and some beer.

Here's a spirited game of balloon toss

And the winner is - - - - Mayor Michael McPartland and Councilwoman Dolores Lawlor

But the big competition was for the best potato salad. The winner: Olly Peterson, who is congratulated by Mayor Michael McPartland and Community Center Director Sharon Carroll.

The library gave away books and CDs

And the Gonzalez family had a good time, especially Damian who waved.
