4 Saturday, 11:00 AM: “Arts & Crafts: Cleaning Out the Closet!” Ages pre-k+: The library has an extensive and eclectic array of art supplies and crafts! Join the library’s juvenile staff members, select a project or media to work with and “get your creative on!” Please register via the library’s online registration template.
7 Tuesday, 4:00 PM: “Outdoor Art Jubilee” Ages pre-k+: On the heels of Saturday’s “Arts & Crafts” program, the library will be hosting an always-popular “Outdoor Art Jubilee!” Attendees will have access to sidewalk chalks, finger-paints, crayons, pastels, coloring pages and butcher paper and much, much more! Please register via the library’s online registration template.
8, 15, 29 Wednesday, 11:30 AM: “Babies’ Lapsit” Open to infants Up to 18 Mos.: For those who have never attended a Lapsit program, Head of Youth Services Jamey Feuer incorporates story time, sing-along, puppets, instruments, bubbles and other popular components into one dynamic and popular program. Children will have the opportunity to sharpen gross motor skills and expand upon their social networks, while caregivers will have the opportunity to grow networks of their own!
As space is limited, register your little one during the FIRST WEEK IN APRIL via the online registration template.
8, 15, 29 Wednesday, 4:00 PM: “Chess Club” ages 7+: Chess teaches lessons that resonate far beyond the playing board; spatial thinking, consequences, 3-dimensional thinking, pre-planning and mathematical skills are all critical, strategic elements. Basic to intermediate strategies will be taught. Due to the nature of the program, space is limited and registration mandatory. PLEASE enroll via the library’s online registration template, drop-ins will be turned away.
9, 16, 30 Thursday, 10:30 AM: “Mother Goose Group” Ages 18 months and Up.
9, 16, 30 Thursday, 4:00 PM: “Starter Chess” Ages K+: For those who are just beginning to express an interest in the game of Chess, the EFPL provides a fantastic introductory program. Basic instruction will be provided. Attendees will learn how the various pieces move, as well as simple openings and check-mates. Due to the nature of the program, space is limited and registration mandatory. PLEASE enroll via the library’s online registration template, drop-ins will be turned away.
9, 16, 30 Thursday, 5:00 PM: “Guitar with Joe” Ages 7+: There are very few things that are as gratifying as picking up an instrument… and making beautiful music. And yet, that is precisely what Joseph Licitra is able to accomplish with those children who enroll in his “Guitar” workshop. Enrollees are expected to provide their own instruments. 13, 20, 27 Monday, 4:00 PM: “Crafty Kids” Gr. K+: Crafty Kids is a new “Arts & Crafts” program where art meets science! This month, we will be crafting our own “spring kites,” making our own “Play-Doh” and fashioning musical instruments known as, “Rain Sticks!” The crafts are designed so that the children can complete each project by themselves, but the REAL fun is when caregiver and child partner up and create together! 28 Tuesday, 4:00 PM: “Tuesday @ The Movies: “Paddington” Gr. K+: Join us for the release of, “Paddington!” A heartfelt and fun event for the whole family! Bring your favorite stuffed animal or “lovey” to watch with you!
