Dolores Lawlor Joins Council

The vacancy on the Borough Council created by the resignation of Kevin P. Doran on Jan. 3 was filled by the appointment of Dolores Lawlor on Jan. 5, She was sworn into office by County Executive James Tedesco.

Ms, Lawlor has served the borough as a member of the Board of Health and the Housing Authority, and she is a member of the Board of Directors of the Colony and is President of the local Democratic Club.

A life-long resident of Edgewater, Ms, Lawlor attended Holy Rosary School and Dwight Morrow High School. Ms. Lawlor has a daughter, Kathleen D’Errico. Her husband, Lawrence is deceased as is her son. Lawrence, Jr. She served as a nurse at Holy Name Hospital and at Palisades Medical Center, each for 18 years.
