Edgewater, NJ – The Music Festival program is announced for the 23rd annual Edgewater Arts & Music Festival to be held Sunday, Sept. 14, 2014 in Edgewater at Old River Road and Thompson Lane. The free event runs from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
The Music Festival program is:
11:00 am— 12:00 noon Children performers from the Professional Arts Academy
12:00 noon — 1:15 pm Fishcake and the Fried Patties
1:15 — 1:45 pm Hudson Dance Studio children dancers
1:45 — 3:00 pm Revivors
3:00 — 3:30 pm Hudson Dance Studio Argentine dancers
3:30 — 4:45 pm Annie Minogue Band
4:45 — 5:15 pm Artists Award Ceremony
5:15 — 5:45 pm The ViiBE youth dancers
The Music Festival runs concurrent with the juried Arts Competition and the 11th annual Edgewater Ford Assembly Plant Auto Show.
“We expect over 3000 attendees this year”, said Lynne Grasz Hall, President, Edgewater Arts Council. “This will be our largest event, and it’s free for the whole family. We’ve expanded our children’s art interactive area, and we look forward to having families come to enjoy the music, the art and the vintage cars”.
Parking is available free at Edgewater Commons where the Auto Show takes place. Visitors can take the free jitney bus between the Commons and the Festival site. Buses run every 15 minutes all day.
Over 50 artists will compete for $5500 in cash prizes in six categories: Art, Photography, Mixed Media, Fiber Arts, Craft and Student Art. First prize in each category is $500, and this year a $250 “Runner Up” category has been added. A $1000 “Best of Show” will be awarded during the Artist Award ceremony at 4:45 from the Main Stage area.
