Edgewater River Rats Top Off Summer Concert Series

The rhythmic country blues tunes of the Edgewater River Rats entertained residents at the last of the 10 concerts of the summer series at the Edgewater Marina, Thursday, Aug. 29.  Borough Councilman Michael Henwood, who chairs the Council’s Recreation Committee, announced that a final add-on concert has been added would take place at the marina on Sept. 6 at 7 p.m. featuring a Johnny Cash tribute band, fronted by a singer performing many of Cash’s hits.  Henwood also announced that the Recreation Department would have expanded activities next summer with four evenings of activities each week through the summer.  On Mondays there will be outdoor movies near the Community Center in Veterans Field which will be fully renovated at that time.  On Tuesdays there will be volleyball at the Marina.  On Wednesdays there will be “Drums at the Flagpole” in Veterans Field and on Thursdays there will be concerts at the marina.
